Advocacy in Barnet Advocacy in Barnet are looking for volunteers who would like to befriend a person with a learning disability living in the community. Volunteers will be trained in becoming Citizen Advocates and will, thereafter, be introduced to an individual with a learning disability whom they can meet for an hour a week. They will then be able to advocate for that individual. You may even want to advocate for someone you know. We are looking for committed, reliable individuals are able to offer long term support to such a person. No previous experience is required. Spinal Research is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join its volunteer
fundraising groups based in Reading, Belfast and London . The
aim of groups is to develop a wide range of regular fundraising activities
within the local area and help raise the profile of Spinal Research.
Experience is not necessary, as enthusiasm, excellent teamwork and the ability
to communicate with all sections of the community is more important.
Spinal Research focuses on finding ways to repair damaged spinal cords -
something long thought impossible. Established in 1980, the charity
raises money for groundbreaking projects at scientific and medical institutions
around the world. If you think you have what it takes, please join us and
