Do you enjoy meeting new people and want to help by doing something rewarding?

We need local volunteers for a minimum 2hours a week to visit isolated and vulnerable older people in SE1 (Southwark and Lambeth) for  a chat, practical help and support in getting out.  Full training and expenses given.

Advocacy in Barnet

Advocacy in Barnet are looking for volunteers who would like to befriend a person with a learning disability living in the community.

Volunteers will be trained in becoming Citizen Advocates and will, thereafter, be introduced to an individual with a learning disability whom

 they can meet for an hour a week. They will then be able to advocate for that individual. You may even want to advocate for someone you know.

We are looking for committed, reliable individuals are able to offer long term support to such a person.  No previous experience is required.

3rd West Barnes Girl Guides

Female volunteers are needed to assist the unit.  Ideally you will live locally and will be able to commit two hours per week during school term times on Monday evenings.  No previous Guiding experience is necessary.

The aim of groups is to develop a wide range of regular fundraising activities within the local area and help raise the profile of Spinal Research. Experience is not necessary, as enthusiasm, excellent teamwork and the ability to communicate with all sections of the community is more important. Spinal Research focuses on finding ways to repair damaged spinal cords - something long thought impossible.  Established in 1980, the charity raises money for groundbreaking projects at scientific and medical institutions around the world.
