Corporate Responsibility

Copperbean is a supporter of corporate responsibility and tries to act for the benefit of the environment and society.  Our policies are as follows.

Paper

Our aim is to recycle 99% of the paper that we need to dispose of.   The bulk of it is used for drawing on by children.  If disposed of, it is recycled or used as packaging.  Confidential information is always shredded.  We will always try to use paper that has been recycled.  Our prefered supplier for future purchases is Euroffice.  Their recycled paper range can be found here.

Stamps

All stamps received by us are recycled for the benefit of charities.

Mailing Envelopes

When we post books we try to use 2nd hand bubble wrap style envelopes, and old cardboard fror the support of the products we are sending.

Energy consumption

Our aim is to minimise our electricity consumption.  Once we can afford it we will install solar panels to generate our heat and our hot water.

Voluntry Work

We allow the placement of adverts for voluntry workers on our website.

Ink Cartridges

We recycle our ink and toner cartridges and purchase our cartidges from The Ink Factory.  You may forward your cartridges to us for recycling.
